  • Ontological Modeling Approach for WHAT-Knowledge by means of ORM2-diagrams and the developed Protege-plugin

To share and transfer knowledge, they must be presented in an explicit form that is understandable to both humans and computers. The paper proposes an approach to ontological modeling of WHAT-knowledge, which allows representing knowledge simultaneously in two forms: a) in the form of a visual model (ORM2-diagram), understandable to humans, and b) OWL2-ontology, computer understandable. To convert the knowledge representation from one form to another one, it is proposed to use ontological patterns (mapping rules). Currently, there is no software toolkit that allows a) to build an ORM2-diagram and mapping it in the OWL2-ontology, and b) based on OWL2-ontology, build a visual model in the form of an ORM2-diagram. Therefore, we are developing a Protege-plugin, which should provide a) the creation and editing of WHAT-knowledge by building an ORM2-diagram and mapping it in the OWL2-ontology, and b) visualization of WHAT knowledge in the form of an ORM2-diagram, extracting instances of ontological patterns from the OWL2-ontology. The paper provides a functional and structural description of the plugin; examples of its use are given.

  • Climatic parameters and their impact on the energy efficiency of high-rise buildings in Moscow

In modern construction, the task of improving the energy efficiency of urban-type buildings is becoming increasingly important, since urbanization increases the volume of energy consumption. When solving issues of energy efficiency of high-rise buildings, it is necessary to take into account such factors as the location of the object, orientation to the cardinal points, functional purpose, volumetric-spatial and engineering solutions to save energy, reduce heat loss and create comfortable conditions inside buildings and in the local area ... In part, these problems can be solved by optimizing the geometric, technical, including the heat engineering parameters of the building envelope, paying attention to the fact that their characteristics must be changed depending on specific climatic factors. The article analyzes several high-rise buildings in the city of Moscow. As an example, calculations have been performed and graphs of temperature and wind speed changes along the height of one of the buildings are presented. An increase in wind speed and a decrease in temperature create special conditions that affect the heat loss of high-rise buildings, which must be taken into account when thermal protection of external enclosing structures.

  • Synthesis of electrical complexes for generating electrical energy using renewable energy sources

The decentralized electric power supply zone occupies about 60-70% of the territory of the Russian Federation. Electric power supply here is carried out using electric generator sets with diesel drive engines. In combination with the difficult logistics of fuel and lubricants materials delivery, this leads to a high prime cost of electricity energy generated. In the capacity of a measures to the costs of electricity reduction, renewable energy sources are used, while maintaining diesel generation as a guaranteed supplier of electricity. Renewable energy is characterized by significant stochastic fluctuations. Based on experimental data, the article shows that the daily load curves of small settlements contain a significant stochastic component, which greatly exceeds the seasonal, daily, and technological components in amplitude. The purpose of this work is to substantiate the structure and parameters of a hybrid energy storage device (HESD) for the synthesis of electrical power generation complexes using renewable energy sources. Spectral analysis using the window Fourier transform is used as a tool. It is established that the energy approach to the choosing of HESD components requires N types of electric energy storage devices, which differ in the ratio: the permissible frequency of the charge-discharge cycle to the cost of the component. As a criterion for choosing the structure and parameter values of a hybrid energy storage device, an estimate is proposed for the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE).

  • Re-engineering of the algorithm and software implementation of the discrete slicer prototype

In this paper, we consider a modification of the algorithm and software implementation of the prototype of a discrete-rotary slicer for preparing 3D printing on multi-axis printers, which allows you to prepare printing for a larger number of types of product models compared to the original algorithm and software prototype. An approach is proposed that provides for the choice of one of several secant planes at certain steps of constructing a layer-by-layer model. The software prototype was refactored. The results of the prototype work are presented, showing the efficiency of the proposed approach. Original protoptype is more constrained with the model types it can process compared to proposed one. Though further investigation of the proposed approach have to be done as well as introduction of parallel implementation of different sectant planes processing.

  • Methods and products of oxidation of hydrolysis lignins

Lignin is a natural polymer material, one of the main components of wood and is a renewable resource. The current trends concerning the methods of oxidation of hydrolysis lignins and the use of oxidation products are considered. Lignin oxidation processes are mainly aimed at obtaining macromonomers with a high content of functional groups and at obtaining low molecular weight oxidation products. A significant group of research is associated with the development of processes for the production of polyols used for the synthesis of polyurethane foams.
