  • Construction of a model of equiresistant multispan beams

    Method of successive approximations was used to solve the problem of optimization of multispan continuous beam. Cross section of a beam was a welded I-beam.  By the variation of the width of the shelf we ensured that the maximum equivalent stress for energy theory of strength in each section is the same throughout. The solution is made numerically using complex MatLab. Bearing capacity of beams with variable stiffness along the length increased in 2 times in comparison with the beam with constant stiffness and the same mass. The proposed method can be applied to frames, taking into account the contribution of longitudinal forces in the equal stresses. Another effective way to change stiffness is to change the height of the wall of I-beam. In practice curvilinear shape of beams or shelves are not used because of complexity of manufacturing. They are replaced by the discrete form of cross section.

  • Determine the effect of the support on the carrying capacity of grillage pile gain basement of the building with the differential settlement in Belovo Kemerovo region

  • Methods of estimating the adequacy of simulation results

    This paper describes application of different criteria for estimating parameters of traffic simulation. For comparison following methods were used: statistical methods for comparison of a flow and speed in control points of a network - analysis of variance (ANOVA), Theil's U-statistics; relationships between flow, density and speed; relationships between trip time and stop time with using two-fluid models of traffic flow. For this aim we also used concept of meta-model. In order to implement this method we need on the first step to create separately relationship between traffic flow parameters for observation and simulation data and then to estimate combined model. The paper included results of calculation

  • Application of the Galerkin method in the calculation of the stability of compressed rods with the creep

    The resolving equations for the calculation of the stability of polymer compressed rods with the creep using Galerkin method are obtained. The problem is solved in the case of a simply supported pivotally-rod having an initial bending in the plane of the lower stiffness, and in the case of off-center application of force. Galerkin method used in combination with the finite element method, that is the shape functions are taken as the basis functions . The solution is made numerically, using the software package Matlab. There are two variants considered: a variant of the rod with constant and variable in length stiffness. It is shown that for rods with variable cross-sections and the same mass, a critical time has increased by almost 4.5 times. The solution for the rods of constant cross section agrees well with the solutions obtained by the method of finite differences. This may indicate the reliability of the proposed method

  • Mathematical modeling methods for parameters optimization for resource efficient washing-squeezing machines

    This article proves that the parameter that determines the energy the washing process is G-factor. The authors propose a mathematical tool defining dependencies technical performance of G-factor. It is an indicator of the effectiveness of the optimization of technical solutions of embodiment washing-squeezing machines and the basis for the fundamental analysis of typical designs.

  • Rheology salt massif with a spherical cavity

    This article is related to technological problems of cavities with kamufletnyh explosions, during which the temperature in the cavity greatly exceeds the initial temperature of the array. Often these cavities are created in an array of rock salt.     The algorithm of calculation of embedded foundation with combined use of a method of boundary elements and method of finite elements is considered. The calculation example of embedded foundation lying on a layered half space is resulted. Distributions of displacements under the base depending on frequency of influence and a combination of physical parameters of elastic layers and elastic half space are analyzed.

      Requirements for methods of diagnosing design increases - they should make it possible to fully assess the performance of buildings, as well as being simple and mobile, to be used during the construction, operation, maintenance and reconstruction. This work is devoted to the realization of experimental and theoretical methods for vibration monitoring of structures and the analysis of the results. The objects of study are the reinforced concrete beams and slabs, and the subject of the study - the methods of vibration diagnostics, the principle of which is to detect changes in the construction of the main dynamic characteristics. Research has shown that damage to the structure can be detected by the methods considered, using a relatively small number of monitoring points and subject to change only the fundamental mode of vibration.

      The article shows that the viscoelastic behavior of polymers is well described by a nonlinear generalized Maxwell equation, generalized Russian scientists GI Gurevich In this paper, based on the results of experimental studies of the isothermal relaxation of thermal stresses presented a method to determine the relaxation parameters of the equation. The experiment was carried out on thin-walled tubes, with rigidly clamped ends. Heating or cooling from initial temperature to a final temperature (the temperature relaxation time) was carried out at a constant rate of heating (cooling) in a linear fashion. This work shows that the linearized theory does not give correct results.
