  • Dependence of the characteristic value of the snow load in the Krasnodar region and Adygea on the altitude above the sea level and on the mean recurrence interval

    The results of studies of the dependence of the snow load and its security on the altitude above the sea level are presented on the basis of statistical data on the distribution of annual maximums of snow water equivalent obtained at 30 meteorological stations and mountain snow-measuring routes of the Krasnodar region and Adygea. Calculated relations are proposed for determining snow loads with arbitrary periods of one-time exceedance in the flat and mountain zones with altitudes up to 2000 m above sea level.

  • Architectural and typological structure of housing in the territories of cottages and gardening (on the example of Novosibirsk)

    The article proposes a classification of buildings in the territories of cottages and gardening in Novosibirsk at three spatial levels of consideration of the object of study: gardening, a plot, a house. The study revealed typological characteristics at each level, marked the modern architectural trends of low-rise individual housing in the territories of cottages and gardening, which allows to systematize the volume-spatial and architectural planning solutions for further search for optimal housing models in these planning zones of the city.

  • Comparison of cold hardiness performance of heavy concrete class B35 obtained by vibrating and centrifuging

    By centrifuging it is possible to manufacture a wide range of building structures and products from reinforced concrete. Such products have several advantages, being relevant in modern construction, however, it requires careful compliance and quality control of the process. The frost resistance of concrete is one of the main indicators characterizing the durability of such building structures as reinforced concrete pillars of power transmission lines and contact network. The analysis of the literature and a series of experimental studies in the laboratory. The influence of the technology of manufacturing products from heavy concrete on the indicator of their cold resistance has been identified and determined.

  • The study of the heat transfer of wooden window construction using film

    The problem of energy saving is one of the most pressing problems of our time. In the Russian Federation, especially in the northern part of the country, the task of energy saving is one of the first places. As you know, the main reason for the increased energy consumption for heating and ventilation of buildings is the low level of thermal insulation of the building envelope. The most vulnerable element for heat loss in buildings are translucent structures, through which more than half of the heat supplied to the building is lost. Thus, to solve this problem, it is necessary to look for ways to increase the resistance to heat transfer of window structures and increase their thermal characteristics. One of the solutions for improving the thermal characteristics of translucent structures is the use of protective and heating films. In this work, we carried out experimental studies of the effect of the heating element on the thermal characteristics of window constructions compared to a window without a heating element.

  • Advantages of the step method of limit loads in rod systems

    The article presents the algorithm of the step method for determining the limit loads for elastic-plastic rod systems. The development of the iterative process with the hypotheses used is given, taking into account the influence of the moment and longitudinal force on the limit state of individual sections, the lenght of the plastic deformation zones along the lenght of the rod. The advantage of the step-by-step method for determining the limit loads in rod systems in comparison with the "direct method " of A.R.Rzhanitsyn is demonstrated. The functions of forms depending on the type of section in explicit form are defined; the algorithm of tabulation of the form function is developed.

  • Integral Quality Score wastewater discharged into the aquatic environment

    The paper discusses the integral indicators of the quality or level of contamination of natural waters, allowing for an assessment of their ecological status. It has been established that the criterion for the quality of treated wastewater discharged into a water body is a regulatory allowable discharge, but it is not always possible to calculate it, especially for small rivers characterized by low flow rates of the river runoff compared to the flow of wastewater. An integral indicator is proposed for assessing the level of pollution of wastewater discharged, a formula for calculating it, as well as criteria for assessing the quality of wastewater discharged according to the proposed integral indicator. The method of calculating the integral indicator is based on the assessment of the quality of wastewater discharged in terms of BOD5, dissolved oxygen, and nutrient elements. Using the wastewater discharged from the Novocherkassk wastewater treatment plant as an example, an integral indicator of the level of contamination was calculated, which made it possible to characterize the wastewater discharged as “dirty” and make a conclusion about the need for additional treatment.

  • Determination of the deformation characteristics of the soil massif, transformed according to the technology of soil reinforcement with cement-sand mortar

    The analysis of methods for assessing the quality of work on the consolidation of soil massifs with different compositions was carried out, the shortcomings of the existing methods were noted. A new device for determining the properties of a soil massif, fixed by the method of reinforcement with cement-sand mortar, was proposed. The design and features of the application of the developed device for evaluating the deformation properties of a fixed array are described. An example of obtaining and processing the results of soil tests by the developed device is given.

  • The process of progressive collapse of high-rise buildings and analysis of decisions that counteract it

    Modern construction industry is actively introducing new technologies and innovations in the field of high-rise buildings. This dictates certain requirements for the architectural and design features of the frameworks of buildings and the strengthening of foundations. It is necessary to give sufficient rigidity to the object in order to withstand external loads and impacts. All activities are aimed at ensuring the safety of people staying in a high-rise building. In recent decades, the construction of skyscrapers has increased, and such a notion as progressive collapse has become relevant. Therefore, the article examines and analyzes exactly progressive collapse as a problem requiring attention and a scientific approach to its elimination. The report concludes with some conclusions and recommendations.

  • Separate foundations with non-flat sole

    The article is devoted to the question of the effectiveness of separate foundations. In particular, a specific version of the foundation with a modified geometry is considered - steps down. The foundation with a stepped sole has a greater bearing capacity and stability, as well as its device requires less labor, which makes it more efficient, analogs with a flat sole.

  • The use of ventilated facades, DVF in modern construction

    Ventilated facades are becoming quite common in Europe and around the world. This type of facade provides good thermal comfort in the room. This article describes the main trends of the development of modern facades. The authors look at the numerous advantages of ventilated facades and their varieties with a double chamber (also named multiple-skin façade) in front of traditional massive facades. There is a wide variety of concepts of facades that provide ample opportunities for the work of architects of various schools and directions. The article argues that the design strategies for ventilated facades should adapt to climatic conditions and take into account local features, such as average annual temperature and its extreme values, solar radiation, humidity levels, in order to minimize building loads and energy consumption. The use of double ventilated facades in the construction of new ones and the re-lining of previously constructed buildings with them contribute to the improvement of the ecological characteristics of the urban environment.

  • Improvement of resource-saving technologies based on the use of design-insulating cellular concrete

    The actual problem of modern construction is considered - the expansion of resource-saving technologies. The use of dispersed reinforcement of cellular concrete allows to improve its strength characteristics, reduce the consumption of cement, one of the most expensive components of the concrete mix. When reinforcing cellular concrete with synthetic fibers, it is possible to obtain products with a lower density without reducing the strength characteristics.

  • Formation of a modern urban environment through the reconstruction of local areas of apartment buildings

    This article presents a set of measures for the reconstruction of the local space of apartment buildings in the framework of the program "Formation of the modern urban environment of the city of Rostov-on-don". The stages and criteria for assessing the local area for the inclusion of the yard area in the improvement project are also considered. A systematic approach to the reconstruction of the local area on the example of an apartment building located in the city is shown. Rostov-on-don, the list of works on improvement of the yard territories allowing to receive the multipurpose modern environment adapted for different layers of the population is allocated, and also the example of implementation of the program which shows how its execution allows to improve the sanitary and esthetic condition of house adjoining territories in the city of Rostov-on-don, and also to create comfortable conditions of stay of citizens

  • Application of BIM in evaluation of property and project of EBIM

    Technical progress makes humanity create new technologies and methods in all spheres of life. Evaluation of property also in there. In current moment there are several methods, which are badly obsolete. For example, there are some cases, when building in decrepit or emergency condition were able to buy in cost several times higher than objective cost. These cases aren't unique. New method of evaluation of property could possibly help if not to stop in all appearing of this cases but less their amount. New method is based on Building Information Model (BIM). This model allow take all needed information about building in the currnet moment of time and see in dynamic, how change different indicators of building. This system can be more useful if it associates some amount of building, which differs indicators of interest building and reflecting effects of that building on themselves. This technology can be looked as Extented BIM. Consideration of implementing BIM in evaluation of property has very perspective vay - this can accelerate the time building can be evaluated, and also it let potential client to see all information about building which he need. This makes process of purchase-sale of property more clear, which, by turn, help avoid conflicts when property being researched before purchasing.

  • Benefits of BIM technology on the example of the Chinese experience

    In the past few years, China has seen a surge in the use of building information modeling (BIM), and the industry has seen many of the benefits of virtual design and construction. The integration of BIM technology into the industrialization of construction is seen as a promising opportunity to improve the performance of modular and industrial construction. This article first reviews the history of the industrialization of the Chinese construction industry, and then discusses the recent introduction of BIM in China. This paper focuses on using BIM to support modular construction and industrial construction in China. It also discusses the use of some advanced hardware, including the use of 3D laser scanners to collect the collected data and create a point cloud model for better coordination of the MEP system, as well as the use of a robotic total station for quick installation.

  • Engineering management of material resources in the implementation of construction projects

    The article deals with the existing problems in our country, arising in the management of material resources in the process of construction of buildings and structures. The main problem in the material resources management system is that due to their late and incomplete delivery to the construction projects, there are significant downtime of working and construction machines and mechanisms. The don state technical University (DSTU) is developing an intelligent construction management system, which includes a method of planning and accounting for the movement of material resources to ensure synchronization of the processes of construction and installation works and their complete supply. The use of this technique allows to optimize the timing and volumes of supplies of material resources in accordance with a given technology of production operations and the simultaneous control of their inventory in the onsite warehouse

    The article deals with the problems and features of Informatization of higher education. The problems of information technologies in the educational process are presented. The main advantage of it is that they contribute to the creation of an effective multi-sensory interactive learning environment with great potential for use by teachers and students. The factors influencing the process of Informatization of educational institutions are analyzed. In order to achieve positive results of the use of information technologies in training, it is proposed to introduce new subject programs in the educational process, which will allow to determine the methods of teaching and the conditions of the educational process. The use of subject programs will provide the user with the opportunity to build their learning algorithm.

  • Problems of safety of traffic

    Article is devoted problems of safety of traffic. In given article are sounded a number of the reasons of occurrence of failures on highways. In article questions of influence of psychophysiological features of drivers on occurrence accidents are considered. The special attention is given that use of cellular telephones by drivers (despite prohibition by traffic regulations), and also every possible advertising materials in sight of drivers do not promote concentration of attention on driving process. Also in article questions of increase of safety of pedestrians, as participants of traffic are mentioned. In article the interrelation between road conditions and safety of traffic is investigated. That fact is marked, the reasons of adverse influence of road conditions can be obvious and hidden. In article the developed practice of roads design is analyzed. The given practice, in a due measure, does not consider requirements of landscape designing. Which, in turn, though are registered in the arch of rules, but have recommendatory character. Also in article questions of use of the minimum parameters of highways are mentioned at its designing.

  • Complex eigenvalues method and its usage as analysing tool for squeal reduction in brake system

    This work investigates squeal propensity problem arising during normal braking. Narrative of this work is suggesting complex eigenvalues method to found out tendency of squeal propensity. The work also provides a brief introduction of complex eigenvalues method and literature review of the problem, which shows study done in this field by other investigators. Frequencies and instability measurements were calculated. Afterward standard deviations were plot to found out whether squeal will be reduced or amplified, within chosen parameters. The results illustrated that by increasing the coefficient of friction the instability measurement will increase and reduce when hydraulic pressure increased.
