  • Multifunctional complexes as self-supporting systems in the context of autonomous architecture

The autonomy of architecture is presented in the article as an option for a new disclosure of the possibilities of an architectural project, endowing global mega-projects with a unique quality of self-sufficiency, which is especially important in the context of renovation, reconstruction of lost buildings or the need for rapid changes. Analyzing innovative strategies for integrating energy generation, water supply, waste management, and food production systems directly into the architectural structure of the complexes, the article examines in detail the design principles that ensure flexibility, adaptability, and social orientation of autonomous multifunctional complexes. The aim of the work is to substantiate the need to move to a new standard for urban development design, where autonomy is considered not as an additional option, but as a key factor in ensuring sustainable development and improving the quality of life. Examples of architectural solutions are presented that demonstrate the potential of autonomous architecture in creating self-sufficient and environmentally friendly complexes that can reduce the burden on infrastructure and increase the resilience of cities to external influences.

  • The methodology of choosing the location of industrial zones for territorial planning purposes (using the example of the Zhukovsky Industrial Park in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region

In territorial planning, the choice of industrial territories is crucial for the state. The advantageous location will allow for the creation of labor application points to ensure stable economic growth. Understanding and taking into account the parameters of the formation and further functioning of such territories always require an integrated approach, that is, taking into account both economic and social, spatial and environmental factors. When planning, the accessibility of transport infrastructure, the availability of raw materials, tax incentives and other economic incentives can be key when choosing a particular area for the location of industrial facilities on it. An integrated approach can become especially relevant not only when planning new undeveloped territories, but also when converting existing large production areas.

  • Integration of economic and environmental challenges into the architectural design process

Establishing relationships between construction and the pristine preservation of the environment, prioritizing what is necessary and sufficient, and balancing requirements and capabilities are a prerequisite for the harmonious development of the planet. But often, high rates of industrialization and local decision-making threaten the stability and harmonious development of the environment. The main problem is the disparity of goals and methods between design specializations. Each employee of a related specialty performs a task in accordance with current regulations, without thinking about the impact of the decision on the future object and its aesthetics. The concept of support and participation meets the requirements of multitasking and encourages an architect to be not only an architect, but also a social worker, engineer, fighter, diplomat, and solve environmental problems. The aim of the authors is to substantiate the need for flexible solutions in engineering and construction design, joint solutions to the problems of creating a favorable environment, and the participation of the architect in all areas of the building's life cycle.

  • The influence of social and functional aspects on the system of qualitative characteristics of the universal environment of courtyard spaces

The article is devoted to the consideration of approaches to the formation of a universal barrier-free recreational environment in the courtyards of apartment residential complexes. The relevance of studying the problem of courtyard spaces development is due to the transformations in the social structure of society that have occurred over the past forty years, rethinking the understanding of the universal recreational intra-block environment. The purpose of the research work was to develop a system of qualitative characteristics that correspond to the current demands of society for local recreation, providing a basis for planning an aesthetically attractive, comfortable and popular courtyard environment. The classification of the population (residents of a residential building) proposed in the article, made in accordance with the generalization of the updated needs for recreation, includes nine categories. This classification ensured the identification of the following qualitative characteristics of courtyard spaces: identity; variability; inclusiveness; capacity; isolation; communicativeness; flexibility; permeability; aesthetics; visuality; universality; safety; information content; environmental friendliness. The presented system of qualitative characteristics of the environment is a basic matrix for design solutions, allowing for a holistic consideration of the task of forming a courtyard, eliminating gaps in the proposal, and assessing its success.

  • Classical order architecture for new residential microdistricts – as a means of harmonizing and humanizing the emerging environment

The article is devoted to the issues of solving modern problems of development of the residential environment of new districts. The aim of the study was to create a proposal capable of providing a high-quality residential environment that positively influences the social microclimate and visual culture through people's perception of urbanized spaces using the aesthetics of classical architecture. It is substantiated that the greatest value for city residents is possessed by historical quarters of central zones formed in Russia from buildings with a characteristic classical order architectural form-building. New residential areas are often formed according to the principles of ghetto, with a priority focus on reducing the cost of investments in the construction of the facility and maximizing the developer's profit, which creates a stable trend towards social deprivation, the consequence of which are depressive psychological disorders and a decrease in the physical health of residents, stagnation and degradation of such territories in the future. An approach is proposed that allows minimizing the costs of constructing residential complexes using classical order architecture using modern additive technologies that can facilitate the implementation of decorative elements. This approach allows us to reveal a new stage in the development of order architecture, which will ensure historical cultural continuity and harmonization of the environment of new residential complexes, due to the properties of classical form-building.

  • Determination of urban planning factors influencing the efficiency of water use

The emergence of the city was associated with the need to organize water use, organize irrigation works, create its facilities, which in turn required the management of the organization of these works and the creation of facilities for the exploitation of water in agriculture. Finding an average balance between demand and availability of resources was a priority, especially for areas experiencing water shortages. Then, the reliability of available resources in conditions of drought or shortage became a key issue in order to cope with climate variability. In parallel, climate change will affect the spatial distribution and timing of water availability. As a result, in the future, water shortage in cities may become a much more serious problem, which may jeopardize the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially "Sustainable Cities and Communities". Historically, since settlements were located some distance from water sources, a variety of sources and technologies for collection, transportation, treatment and waste collection emerged. Population growth and technological developments have led to the emergence of new forms of alternative resources capable of meeting the needs and specific requirements of water-related activities.
