  • The possibilities of modular technology of housing construction

The article is devoted to the analysis of the possibilities of using modular home building technology. Modular construction is determined by approaches that do not follow traditional methods. The system is reduced to the assembly of prefabricated buildings from individual modules. These modular elements are usually manufactured at the factory. This helps to remove weather restrictions, reduces the risk of a shortage of labor on the spot. Placed on the foundation, the individual modules are assembled into a complete modular structure. With modular housing construction, the possibilities and choices are quite limitless. There is always an opportunity to make an individual design. In prefabricated houses, it is possible to use modules equipped with water supply, sewerage, heating and electricity systems. The article presents an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of the modular design. The advantages are listed in terms of quality, economy, time and ecology, as well as in terms of design flexibility and work safety, both during production and during installation on the construction site. The disadvantages of the modular design are also considered - complex transportation of modules requiring coordination of production and construction, the high cost of production and its typification.

  • Analysis of wind impact on buildings of various shapes

The article considers the impact of wind flow on buildings and structures. The analysis of the influence of wind pressure on buildings of various shapes is carried out. The three main effects of wind occurring around wind-sensitive buildings are indicated. A comparison of three building forms was made. It is established that the round shape of the building in the plan has a smaller moment of resistance from wind gusts and from the force of resistance. It is determined that these parameters are higher in the case of square and rectangular buildings.

  • Analysis of curves that cannot be represented by the intersection of two surfaces in architectural bionics

The article is devoted to the study of curves that are not representable by the intersection of two surfaces. In modern architectural practice, they very often depart from classical forms, replacing them with complex surfaces. Recently, there has been the development of such an architectural style as architectural bionics or bio-tech. Faced with the challenges of sustainable development and its impact on the environment, the construction sector faces the necessary need for innovation. Architecture is presented as one of the promising areas of knowledge use based on biological research. And it is able to respond to current environmental problems. Indeed, many species of animals and plants know how to apply adaptation strategies to the environment and its transformations, forming together with it a sustainable ecosystem. Technological advances in very small-scale observation allow for deeper knowledge of how nature works and offer a new source of knowledge and inspiration for architecture.

  • The influence of the urban heat island on the microclimate of urbanized space

The article considers the problem of the formation of urban heat islands. The reasons for the occurrence of such heat islands are revealed. The influence of artificial urbanized surfaces on the albedo value is analyzed. The connection of the appearance of urban heat islands with the reduction of plant and water resources of the city has been established. The estimation of anthropogenic heat emissions, urban morphology is given. Possible solutions for reducing the influence of urban heat island on the microclimate of urbanized space are presented. A number of natural urban planning and architectural construction tools and methods of regulating urban heat islands are formulated. Their complex accounting at the stage of city planning and design of buildings and structures is indicated. This approach is recommended using software systems modeling an urbanized environment as a basis for regulating heat islands, reducing their negative impact on urban space.

  • Analysis of wind impact on buildings and structures

The article analyzes the wind impact on buildings and structures, considers the parameters of regional and local winds, the influence of terrain on regional winds, and presents the ratio of wind speed to blowing height. The main aspects of determining wind loads on buildings and structures are considered. The nature of the wind load and its calculation methods are investigated. The problem of further development of the method for calculating wind impact using computer modeling is formulated.
