  • Testing of samples-witnesses of a reinforced polyethylene gas pipeline

    From the pilot section of the gas pipeline, after ten years of operation, specimen-witnesses were seized. The gas pipeline consists of reinforced polyethylene pipes with an average adhesive reinforcing layer. The results of mechanical tests of model samples are given in the article. Investigations of the deformation-strength properties of the witness specimens show a decrease in the temperature of the viscous-brittle transition to -15 ° C. These results indicate a deterioration in the adhesion between the outer layers of PE80 and the middle technological layer. Good adhesion led to the emergence and development of a fragile crack. Stability tests at constant pressure showed satisfactory results, not a single sample collapsed. According to the research data, the reinforced polyethylene pipe did not deteriorate its deformation-strength properties for ten years of operation of the gas pipeline under pressure.

  • Energy-Saving Processes Simulation in Reconstruction of Educational Institutions Edifices

    One of the high-priority directions in the development of the Russian and global economies is energy saving and reduction of exhaustible energy resources consumption. It is possible to make the existing urban development pool correspondent with the required energy efficiency class by way of reconstruction. Despite the fact that the said law entered into force in 2010, there is still a lack of methods of systematic development of energy-saving policies for educational institutions edifices within the framework of reconstruction. Methods applied separately for reconstruction and introduction of energy saving measures do not allow a simulation of acceptance of effective solutions for level enhancement of technical operation of the edifices. Methods of efficiency enhancement for the technological processes of edifices reconstruction are represented in this article for the first time; evaluation criteria for efficiency of technological processes in reconstruction of higher educational edifices have been developed; a method of criterion analysis has been applied taking the binding conditions of technologies introduction into consideration.The practical significance of the method developed has been proved by way of introduction thereof into the framework of reconstruction of the edifices of the higher educational institution.

  • Rational use of land resources of the Republic of Crimea with the disposal of biological waste of livestock complex

    The methods of disposal of biological waste of livestock are considered. It is revealed that traditional methods of disposal biological waste contribute to the withdrawal from circulation of large areas of agricultural land and settlements lands. It is proved that in the implementation of technological solutions (construction of the recycling plant) areas of the cattle burial are reduced, which leads to a more rational use of land resources.

  • Optimization of the composition of non-autoclaved aerated concrete with blast-furnace granular slag according to the criteria of compressive strength and average density

    The composition of non-autoclaved aerated concrete with blast-furnace granular slag was developed and optimized, which was introduced in an amount from 5 to 15% instead of a part of the silica component (quartz sand) into aerated concrete. By the results of optimization by the method of least squares, the basic regression equations were obtained in the form of polynomials of the second degree and the optimal compositions of non-autoclaved cellular concrete with the addition of blast-furnace granular slag. In this case, the most effective is a dosage of 15%, which has a positive effect on the increase in strength of cellular concrete in comparison with the control composition and does not lead to an increase in the average density.

  • Studying the experience of regulating the properties of building products and structures by directing the formation of their variational structure

    The methods of directed formation of the variational structure of concrete products and structures are considered in the article. The experience of Russian scientists in the issues of obtaining articles of different density over the section has been studied. The problems of the technology of obtaining articles of different density along the section are considered, the main principles of shaping the variational pore structure of aerated concrete for monolithic enclosing structures, the optimal schemes for forming two-layer wall products from concrete of various densities, forming a structure with a double skeleton - mineral and polymeric - by sintering the polystyrene grains, the formation of variational structure of magnesian foam concrete, which involves sequential laying of foam masses with various average, perspectivity of the use of reinforced concrete constructions of a variational structure.

  • Geometric characteristics of thin-walled elements of the C-shaped cross section

    The material of the C-profiles in question, manufactured by the continuous rolling method, is galvanized steel up to 3.0 mm thick. Thin-walledness and the shape of the cross-section, causes a number of features of the profiles under load. The valid design norms in addition to the basic geometric parameters of the cross-sections used in calculating the longitudinal and bending forces (A is the cross-sectional area, Sx, Sv are the static moments of the section, Ix, Iv, Ixy are the axial and centrifugal moments of inertia) , Suggest the use of sector-specific characteristics. These characteristics are peculiar only to thin-walled rods and are determined on the basis of the notion of a sectorial area. The problem of determining the geometric characteristics of a thin-walled C-shaped profile is considered. The center of the bending is taken to be the point with respect to which the moment from the tangential forces arising during transverse bending or torsion in the cross section is zero. The position of the bending center does not depend on the forces acting on the rod, but depends only on the shape and dimensions of the cross-section of the thin-walled rod.

  • Assessment of the degree of protection of groundwater of Kuibyshev district of the Rostov region

    The aim of this work is to study the degree of protection of underground waters of the Kuibyshev district of Rostov region. The study area represented by the geological deposits of Quaternary (recent sediments) Qh, Neogene and Paleogene systems (Oligocene) P3, Cretaceous (upper division) K2 and the Carboniferous system (upper, middle and lower portions) S1,2,3 based. On the analysis of geological structure of water-bearing rocks in the Kuibyshev district of the Rostov region, which showed an insufficient degree of protection of underground waters against pollution and, as a consequence, insufficient supply of public drinking water, built map of underground waters protection of the Kuibyshev district of the Rostov region

  • Research of influence of ventilation on formation of temperature and high-speed fields in the electrosteel-smelting shop

    For a research of features of formation of temperature and high-speed fields in volume of the electrosteel-smelting shop at various ways of distribution of stitched air the three-dimensional non-stationary model is used. By results of the made numerical experiment for the description of spatial distribution of air and thermal streams in the shop it is established that the most rational way of supply of stitched air in the considered shops is the way of "flooding of a working zone".

  • Membrane technology is a modern solution to the problem of improving the quality of drinking water in rural areas

    It is noted that traditional technologies do not provide removal of organic substances from water, and primary chlorination leads to the formation of highly toxic halogen organic compounds in it. The perspective of using membrane technologies for water purification of surface sources based on: micro-, ultra- and nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, allowing to solve the set task is shown. This was realized during the purification of the Don and Moscow rivers with the use of the biosorption-membrane method, which involves sorption on activated charcoal, biological oxidation of organic substances and filtration through the membrane. The obtained results give the basis for wide application of this method in treatment plants of small settlements, which is especially important for the south of the country, in particular, the Rostov region and the Republic of Kalmykia.

  • Automated design of internal drainage with the use of AutoCAD

    The article presents some results related to the automation of calculations of wastewater in residential buildings using AutoCAD. Developed using ActiveX technology computer-aided design of the drainage system of a residential building, the following tasks: engineering design of the riser of the sewer network; calculating the throughput of the most loaded riser drainage; calculation of releases of wastewater; hydraulic calculation of yard drainage network; compilation of specifications. The developed program allows you to extend the functionality of AutoCAD.

  • The impact of dropping out of kamnedrobleniya and mineral filler on the fine-grained characteristics of self-compacting concrete

    The influence of dropping out of kamnedrobleniya and mineral filler, included in its composition, the fine-grained characteristics of self-compacting concrete.Studies have shown the efficacy of combined use in the composition of the fine self-compacting concrete dropping out of kamnedrobleniya fractions of 2.5-5 mm, and mineral filler mixture fractions 0-2,5 mm. At the optimum dosage of the products of kamnedrobleniya and modifying additives in the composition of fine-grained mixtures ensure the required flow characteristics of the concrete mix achieved the required strength of the concrete. Mineral filler – dust component of dropping out of kamnedrobleniya allows to increase the total volume of the test binder, sufficient to fill the intergranular voids and coating grains of a filler, and contributes to water-holding capacity and the persistence of the mixture.

  • Elements of geotechnical monitoring of underground constructions, enshrined concrete anchors

    There was a need for geotechnical monitoring during construction of underground facilities. The organization of monitoring control tensile forces in the concrete anchors. Comparison of experimental and calculated data, which revealed that the deviation does not exceed 19%. When using anchor embedment length limited in a large range of conditions in a rod anchor having critical internal forces. To increase the efficiency of anchors in their construction can be used in flexible elements of the anchor bolt assembly.

  • Investigation of the stress-strain state of lining of underground structures in the zones of linking

    In the article numerical simulation of the interface zone of a tunnel with a vertical barrel by the finite element method is considered. The numerical spatial model is a fragment of a rock mass with a size of 80 to 90 meters, in which the tunnel is connected by a span of 6.0 m, adjacent to the vertical trunk. The mating and trunk in the area under consideration are fixed with reinforced concrete lining 500 mm thick. A universal spatial isoparametric eight-node finite element is used to break up the model. The dimensions of the finite elements on the outer regions of the model were 2.5 - 5.0 m, on the inner - 0.25 - 0.5 m. Thus, the principle of combining dense and rarefied grids was used to reduce the amount of information describing the numerical model. The problem was solved in an elastoplastic formulation by a stepwise iteration method. As a result of calculations, all the components of the volumetric stress tensor in the finite elements of the lining and the rock mass, movement and deformation in the nodes of the finite elements were determined. With the help of the developed numerical models, a series of calculations was performed, an array of data was obtained on the stress-strain state of the lining in the zone of coupling effect, quantitative and qualitative analysis was performed. It is established that in characteristic zones of the influence of conjugations, a significant increase in the intensity of equivalent stresses is observed, which leads to a reduction in the load-bearing capacity of the lining by 2 times or more in comparison with extended sections of underground structures. To increase the efficiency of maintaining interfaces during tunnel operation, it is necessary to justify the control actions taking into account the dynamics of changes in the stress-strain state of the lining in space and time.

    The location of the buildings in the complex development of underground space in big cities of Russia can be attributed to the peculiarities of modern construction. Improving the technology and organization of construction contributes to the development of the main directions in the creation of progressive waterproofing materials.   • The effectiveness of the use of the viscosity modifier in self-compacting concrete

    The influence of viscosity modifier brand BASF on rheological properties of self-compacting mixtures and the kinetics of curing of concrete. When determining the spreadability of the mixture with the locking ring installed, that the use of the modifier with water-retention effect increases the fluidity of the mixture, despite the presence of obstacles. During the complex introduction of superplasticizer and viscosity modifier was an increase in water demand of the mix, resulting in a loss of concrete strength. The possibility of obtaining smart dynamic concrete and the effectiveness of the use of the viscosity modifier in combination with various additives should be set on the utilization of cement in concrete.To ensure the competitiveness of the smart dynamic concrete viscosity modifier it is necessary to design the composition with the lowest specific consumption of cement due to the rational grain composition of the filler and the optimum dosage of chemical additives.

  • The method of analysis of changes of mechanical power of the air flow in the ventilation system

  • Rational use of inert mineral additives in concrete technology

    The paper describes the role of inert mineral additives in concrete technology. It was found that inert mineral additives are expediently use together with superplasticizers for the preparation of concrete mixtures with high workability at low cement consumption. It was shown that the negative effect of inert additives on strength decreases with a decrease in the water-cement ratio due to an increase in the proportion of cement hydration products and a reduction in the pore volume in a cement stone prepared with the use of inert mineral additives. There was established that the most promising direction of using these materials is the production of high-fluidity and self-compacting concretes of low and medium class with high frost resistance, water resistance and corrosion resistance

  • Modern glass units for making translucent enclosing structures

    The subject matter of this paper is glass units as an element of glazing of modern translucent façades. The paper reviews the main characteristics of single-pane and double-pane glass units and the specific features of frames made of various materials. It also discusses innovative materials which can be used for manufacturing frames. It was found that, despite the increasingly broad use of spider glazing in place of structural glazing, the structural technology, in combination with glass units, is entering a new stage of development and is set to remain as part of the modern architecture for a long time ahead.
