  • Determination of the geometry of the room by the impulse response using convolutional neural networks

Existing methods for determining the geometry of an enclosed space using echolocation assume the presence of a large amount of additional equipment (sound sources and receivers) in the room. This paper investigates a method for determining the geometry of enclosed spaces using sound location. The method does not assume the presence of a priori knowledge about the surrounding space. One sound source and one sound receiver were used to create and capture real impulse characteristics. A microphone was used as a sound receiver and a finger snap was used as a sound source to produce the impulse response. In this work, we used convolutional neural networks that were trained on a large dataset consisting of 48000 impulse responses and a number of room geometry parameters corresponding to them. The trained convolutional neural network was tested on the recorded impulse responses of a real room and showed accuracy ranging from 92.2 to 98.7% in estimating room size from various parameters.

  • A neuro-fuzzy model for contours constructing on an image

The article describes a technique for constructing a non-fuzzy model for selecting contour points on an image. The technique includes the following steps: the formation of linguistic variables “pixel brightness difference” and “a sign that a pixel belongs to a contour”, the formation of a knowledge base of a neuro-fuzzy model using a binary image, the formation of a training set using both grayscale and contour images, training a neuro-fuzzy model using genetic algorithm. A feature of the presented genetic algorithm is - checking the conditions for the correctness of the values of the parameters of the membership functions obtained during the generation of chromosomes. Described the structure of a neuro-fuzzy model for making a decision about whether a pixel belongs to a contour. Presented the result of applying a neuro-fuzzy model for constructing image contours.

  • Air quality monitoring for building environmentally friendly routes

Many sources of environmental pollution affect human health. The concentration of harmful substances constantly changes during the day when the weather conditions change in different parts of the territory. Residents can repeatedly enter and leave areas of increased pollution without noticing it with their senses when moving around the city. The authors analyzed the existing solutions for monitoring the quality of atmospheric air, as well as key sources of pollution and their distribution in the air. The interrelation of distribution of pollutants with weather conditions is noted. Preparation of data on the presence of harmful substances on the example of the city of Volgograd has been carried out. A method for organizing monitoring of harmful substances in the atmosphere using a software and hardware complex is proposed. The developed method was applied to create a specialized web application. The implemented solution allows to monitor the state of the environment using sensors and build routes around areas with a high concentration of harmful substances.

  • Analytical and numerical simulation of the operation of distributed information systems with self-similar input traffic

This article formulates the main stages of the process of constructing analytic-numerical models of functioning of distributed information systems with non-exponential (self-similar) input traffic of requests. Each separate stage of modeling, at the conceptual level, is reduced to solving a certain class of mathematical problems. The basis of the mathematical apparatus for obtaining the basic integral characteristics of the quality of distributed information systems functioning lies in the method of analyzing the average values of networks of queues. The basic relationships for calculating the reactivity of distributed information systems operation are given.

  • Mathematical model of evaluation reactivity of distributed information processing system using the decomposition approximation method

In this article, using the decomposition approximation based on Norton's theorem, the authors present a mathematical model of the distributed information processing system based on the local computer network on file-server architecture with arbitrary functions of the distribution of service time of requests in the network nodes. A conceptual model of an equivalent two-node Queuing network is constructed, in which the first center of the network coincides with the i-th center of the original network with an arbitrary law of distribution of the duration of requests maintenance, and the second (composite), which is the equivalent of the rest of the network, has exponentially distributed service time, which depends on the number of messages in it. The basic mathematical expressions for calculating the intensity of service in the composition center, as well as expressions for calculating the average response time of the system to user requests are also presented.

  • Investigation of the influence of the deviations of the position of the working armature from the project on the bearing strength of the overlap

In the article results of the analysis of analytical dependences and results of the computing experiment executed in Lyr-CAD environment are considered. The purpose of the performed work is a quantitative assessment of the reduction in strength of beams of monolithic reinforced concrete overlappings caused by errors made during the performance of reinforcement work. In particular, an increase in the thickness of the protective layer of concrete and the consequent reduction in the working height of the section are considered. The data analyzed for both reference and span cross sections are analyzed. In total, four series of samples were selected, differing in the class of concrete (B15, B20, B25 and B30). Each series consisted of 9 samples having different working height sections in the reference and span sections. The working height of the section varied from 5 to 22%. The finite element model was created in the LIRA-CAD environment. In the course of the analysis, the effect of changing the working height of the section on the area of the reference and passing reinforcement, selected for strength, was investigated.

Keywords: It is established that the degree of influence of the deviations of the position of the reinforcement from the design in the reference sections and in the span is different. The greatest danger is represented by the support sections, that is, the overlapp
