  • Effect of preheating of light-cured composite materials on the depth of polymerization

The analysis of the influence of heating on the depth of polymerization of composite materials of light curing is carried out. An electronic micrometer was used to measure the polymerization depth. The greatest difference in the depth of polymerization before and after heating was obtained from Filtek ULTIMATE "3M ESPE" composite material. The smallest difference in the depth of polymerization before and after heating of Nexcomp "MetabioMEDCo". After heating, the plastic and flow properties of the materials are improved, which improves the adaptation to the walls of the cavity during the restoration.

  • Comparative evaluation of the functionality quality of removable dentures and implants according to electromyography

Electromyography of masticatory muscles is an objective criteria for the adaptation of patients to orthopedic constructions. The aim of the study was to evaluate the adaptation of masticatory muscles of patients with terminal defects of dentition made a prosthetic appliance for teeth with implant constructions with a large number of supports and removable denture. As a result, when patients with terminal defects of the dentition are made prosthetic appliance with the help of implant structures with a large number of supports in 3 months, the maximum aproaching of the bioelectrical potentials of the masticatory muscles to the norm is observed. When patients are made prosthetic appliance with removable orthopedic structures, hypertension of the masticatory muscles decreases, but does not reach physiological values. It is recommended to use the method of surface electromyography of the masticatory muscles to monitor the effectiveness of orthopedic treatment and the degree of adaptation of the patient to the manufactured structures.
