  • The method of calculating the S-factor for an apartment building

Evaluation of the effectiveness of ""green"" buildings is usually carried out by a third party using a rating system. The rating system STO NOSTROY 2.35.4–2011 assesses habitat sustainability according to 46 criteria, which are grouped into 10 categories, presented in Table 1. STO NOSTROY 2.35.4–2011. The article presents the methodology developed on the basis of the above-mentioned rating system, as well as the foreign LEED system, and the S-factor for the designed 16-storey residential building is calculated. The calculation for clarity is presented in the form of a diagram. Since the design we strive to get as close as possible to the highest grade of assessment, the most attention is paid to such concepts as energy saving and energy efficiency. Calculation of economic efficiency is possible on the basis of the resource-technological model by calculating the volume of waste during the overhaul and demolition of the designed building. This is a necessary task, since the construction of environmentally-friendly, sustainable buildings requires full consideration of the life cycle of the building, and accounting for the entire life cycle necessitates integrated design. The time spent at an early stage on the complex design of the building, taking into account the concept of sustainable development, is rather quickly compensated with the start of building operation, since it is known that the largest share of costs falls on the operational period of the building. So, as a result of calculating the S-factor, the building is assigned a certain grade of assessment. Raising the grade of an assessment of a building being erected will lead to an increase in its investment attractiveness. That is why it is important to perform a similar calculation at the design stage of the life cycle of the construction object, since in this case we have the opportunity to increase the value of the S-factor to the required.

  • Flame retardant gypsum solutions on expanded vermiculite using volcanic ash

Fire-retardant gypsum solutions on exfoliated vermiculite were studied using volcanic ash and the multi-functional additive D – 5. It was revealed that the introduction of the D-5 additive by weight from the binder significantly speeds up the setting time of the composite gypsum solution on the expanded vermiculite. gypsum-vermiculite solutions with additives of Portland cement and D – 5 have a higher water resistance. The compositions of composite gypsum solution on exfoliated vermiculite and ash have been developed. It has been established that volcanic ash of a fraction of 0.0–0.315 mm can be replaced by expanded vermiculite without a noticeable increase in average density. Additives of Portland cement and D – 5 increase the strength of the gypsum composite vermiculite solution with ash, the softening coefficient of the composite increases to 0.75.

  • Underground pedestrian tunnels on the loaded highways

The article deals with the problem of pedestrian crossings and congestion of highways of the city of Volgograd. It described the situation on the highways and solutions to eliminate congestion on the road. Car traffic was conditionally divided into 3 categories: transit, the transit from the center and the car flow moving into the center. Studied the question of the safety of pedestrians on the road, because, except for pedestrians with the intersection increases their safety. The study and analysis of all previously implemented measures was proposed construction of underground pedestrian tunnels. Several embodiments of tunnel junctions have been considered. Analysis of the current transport situation revealed the busiest places in the city center. It was noted that the construction of underpasses solve the problem of vehicular traffic in the city center and pedestrian safety, and the city will have new underground space.

  • Identification methods of control objects using industrial controllers

The task of real-time identification of control objects is relevant and in demand at the stages of auto-tuning and self-tuning of regulators. Modern industrial controllers have sufficient computational capabilities to implement adaptive control. The article discusses two approaches to obtaining the impulse transfer function of an object: by the least squares method and directly by the transient response. Least square identification is applicable for a wide class of objects, including oscillatory objects. But this method requires a fairly large amount of computational resources, which imposes a limitation on the speed of the object. The direct identification method for transient response requires significantly less computational resources, but is applicable for aperiodic objects. Algorithms are implemented in the form of programs for industrial controllers and can be used both at the stages of preliminary identification of control objects and at the stages of autotuning typical PID controllers and controllers in the state space.

  • Analysis and methods of squeal reduction of disk brake system

The following work is concentrated on the analysis of dynamic pressure distribution of a brake pad by using ANSYS software.
