The absorbing apparatus serves to extinguish the impact when the wagons cohere and move. Most of the energy, about 80%, in this system is absorbed by a friction unit consisting of a friction wedge and a fixed plate. Absorption of energy in this system occurs due to the work of frictional forces arising during longitudinal motion of the pressure wedge with respect to the friction plate. Due to the large shock-frictional loads, intensive wear and destruction of the cermet cake occurs, which adversely affects the energy capacity of the absorbing apparatus. To eliminate these shortcomings, studies were conducted to create a new material. After numerous experiments, a composition was obtained with the optimum content of components, which maximally satisfies the working conditions of the friction unit and the requirements imposed on these devices.

This article is devoted to the review of production methods for determining the rigidity of technological systems based on metal cutting machines. A description of each method, its characteristics, describes the principle of the appearance of elastic strains of technological systems and the possibility of their measurement. For each method, the limits of its applicability and the possibility of using it in different production situations are given. The mathematical dependences are given which can allow the process engineer to estimate the value of the elastic deformations of the technological system and make appropriate adjustments even at the stage of production preparation (for example, to change the trajectory of the tool when writing the control program for CNC machines). A statistical method for determining the rigidity of technological systems is described, the graphical dependence of elastic deformations on cutting forces is given.

Methods for conducting polarization measurements on electrodes made of 1X18H9T steel are considered. Anodic polarization curves of steel 1X18H9T were obtained in solutions of electrolytes without stirring and with stirring. Comparison of the obtained anodic polarization curves allowed to reveal the rational current densities for realization of technological processes of combined anodic and mechanical processing of this steel.

The paper considers the optimization of technological process of manufacturing of the coils of the steam generator based on the concept of lean manufacturing. The analysis of the manufacturing process of the coils revealed problems: the yield of the pipe after conversion of the bending machine, large inventory of finished tubes, stored on the stocks vertical storage (racks), loss of time for travel, due to the placement site of flexible pipes in different spans, continuous changeover. To solve these problems were applied the principles of lean production. As a result of the optimization was able to reduce WIP 70%, to reduce logistics and remoteness of workplaces in the production flow by 10 times, reduce the time of processes for the conversion of 2 times, to reduce the risk of traces of mechanical damages on the surface of the coils.

This article presents the results of tests of samples on the basis of equiatomic alloy with shape memory effect. The obtained system of dimensionless quantities that adequately describe the elastic-plastic deformation. It is established that the assessment of scale effects in modeling shockproof device-based alloy with shape memory effect leads to the technical ability of extrapolation of experimental results to other objects to generate the initial data of the mathematical model under the condition of similarity of characteristics of external loads.
