  • Advantages of application of population of final volume instead of selection for Veybull's distribution with three parameters

The selective method of calculation because of the profitability is successfully applied several centuries. However when calculating non-failure operation in case of fatigue failures (often sudden) when there is a considerable sedate communication of m=10-15 for the supermulti-cycle field of loading between durability (hardness, an endurance limit) and the operating tension, decrease in the minimum resource of details will make 10-100 and more times. It turns out because of an unaccounted main part of population. In our example of 104-50=9950 pieces of such details, i.e. their potential refusals. Therefore for this case a selective method – the intermediate stage of calculations.

  • Investigation of the distribution of the values of the breakdown voltages of the ignition system at various operating modes of the internal combustion engine

The authors carried out in-situ studies of the distribution of the breakdown voltage values of the F8CV engine of the Daewoo Matiz Diesel engine idling at a minimum engine speed (650 rpm) and with an increased crankshaft speed (2840 rpm). A histogram of the distribution of the values of the breakdown voltage in the interelectrode gap of the spark plug is obtained for these operating modes of the internal combustion engine. It was revealed that at a minimum engine speed of the ICE crankshaft, the distribution of the cyclic values of the breakdown voltages obeys the normal distribution law for a spread of 6-15 kV. At higher speeds, the distribution of the cyclic values of the breakdown voltages differs from the normal distribution law. With an increase in the speed of the crankshaft, all values of the breakdown voltage fall by 3-4 kV. This can be explained by homogenization of the mixture and an improvement in the conditions for breakdown of the spark plug interelectrode gap.

  • Method of construction of stochastic models of stand structure by thickness in forest machines designing

Parameters of logging machines are determined by the characteristics of the subject of labour, in particular the size of trees. In stands the sizes of trees vary and have stochastic character. This leads to the difficulty of determining the design tree for the felling machine or calculating the weight of the wood moved by the transport machine. The problem is complicated by the fact that the design of the forest machine should ensure the efficiency of work in different stands. The solution of the problem of determining the calculated characteristics of the subject of labour (characteristics that determine the values of external forces acting on the forest machine) can be based on the analysis of regularities in the structure of stands by thickness. The purpose of this study is to describe a method of constructing stochastic models of the structure of the stand by thickness in the design of forest machines and an example of its application. The proposed method makes it possible to form a stochastic model of the tree stand structure by thickness for the forest area under study and covers procedures from the collection of initial data to the generation of the tree diameter algorithm. Generation algorithms obtained by the method can be used in the development of simulation models for computer experiments aimed at calculating the optimal parameters of forest machines.

  • Mathematical modeling of the interaction of a ring structured surface with high-frequency electromagnetic radiation

The exposure of the Aires resonator to electromagnetic radiation with a frequency of 6 GHz is considered. The resonator is a silicon plate with a diameter of 7.4 mm with circular grooves applied by etching. The resulting resonator with a thickness of 0.5 mm contains 4084101 circles of various diameters, which in orthogonal cross sections represent rectangular slits 0.2 μm wide and 0.6 μm deep. It is assumed that the radiation source falls on the resonator evenly from all sides. Thus, we have a radiation source in the form of a hemisphere, the radius of which is substantially larger than the diameter of the resonator (10 m). The intensity of the incident radiation and the frequency of the radiation are assumed to be known. It is necessary to find: the intensity of the radiation at some point in space above the resonator. (Receiver). If the radiation falls on the resonator not in the slot, then a reflection occurs (the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection). If the radiation falls into the gap, then the reflection does not occur, and absorption occurs. It is assumed that radiation is diffracted on the slits. If you change the time with a certain step, you can calculate the intensity at any point of the receiver at any time. As a result of irradiation of the resonator over its central part, periodic radiation with frequencies of 6.85 GHz and 5.38 GHz is generated. At other frequencies, radiation is generated that is not periodic and is similar to chaotic radiation. The resonator can be considered as a converter of the incident periodic irradiation into other periodic radiations. These periodic emissions have frequencies that can be resonant for some molecules and parts of living organisms that make up the cells. By varying the depth and width of the slits on the resonator, the size of the resonator and other parameters, it is possible to obtain specific frequencies to which particular components of living cells are sensitive. This will allow targeted action on the cells of a living organism.

  • Algorithmic and software information and training system " Аluminum melt Mixer"

The developed information and training system is intended for vocational guidance, initial training and advanced training of technological personnel of industrial enterprises associated with batching and pouring aluminum alloys of various brands. The system contains the necessary amount of theoretical information that describes the basic principles of aluminum production using the most well-known technological operations aimed at forming the required metal alloys with a given chemical composition. The functional of the system is close to reality, using only proven empirical data, as well as reliable models of the internal processes of the system, created using commonly known physical, chemical and mathematical laws. The process of interaction with the training system is controlled by an algorithm that monitors the order of execution of the main technological stages of aluminum production. The training system allows you to load previously prepared values or to customize the new initial parameters of the system in the "Administrator" mode, corrected for various restrictions and interference that occur in production. The approach to the training of technological personnel is based on the use of the standard method of learning "trial and error", which allows a multiple search for a solution to the same or other similar technological problems in the formation of a metal alloy with specified chemical characteristics. The user's work with the training system is limited in time and is accompanied by the calculation of the total amount of production costs, taking into account the cost and availability of various technological operations and materials. To verify the results of the solution, an algorithm is used to find the optimal version of the ratio of the initial components of the charge, aimed at obtaining the best solution for the technological problem with the lowest cost of melting the required volume of metal. The search for the best variant of the solution of the technological problem of blending is calculated using the method of sequential optimization, in which the solution of the subtask in the previous step of calculations becomes the basis for subsequent calculations. Thus, the use of the information and training system makes it possible to improve the quality of final finished products, reduce energy costs of production, and reduce the prime cost of smelting each ton of metal by reducing the time indices of production and more rational use of material resources.

  • Basic smart city model

Having appeared on fusion of two megatrends – urbanization and digital revolution – the smart city paradigm signifies transition to modern cities digital governance. The history of the origin and evolution of the smart city concept is shortly given with the role of high-tech giants and the world's largest international organizations in the process. The steps of the Russian Government, high-tech companies and an academic community, which contribute to the emergence of smart cities in Russia, have been presented. The IBM and The World Bank declare that smarter cities make their systems instrumented, interconnected or integrated and intelligent. These three ways to use of information and communications technology we have interpreted as a smart city model. According to the Smart Cities Council a smart city enhances its livability, workability and sustainability by collecting, communicating and “crunching” data. These three core functions of a smart city have been described here as the second model. Smart Cities Council Chairman Jesse Berst on the third-annual Smart Cities Week D.C. have presented four actions a smart city performs: it collects, communicates, computes and controls. We can consider now the process of improving decisions and behavior had been separated from “crunching” as a new stage. The KPMG sets the smart city principle: it operates on a 4-step process of capturing data, communicating, analyzing and acting. Although KPMG’s model appears earlier, we suggest the model presented by Jesse Berst to be considered as the basic smart city model. It emphasizes four substantial stages in the use of ICT in smart cities
